Purpose
Retirement Ready is an independent planning tool from Momentum Apps, LLC. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Defense, DFAS, the Department of Veterans Affairs, or any military branch.
Estimates and eligibility
Results are estimates, not benefit awards, financial advice, legal advice, or a determination of retirement eligibility. Your official records, service retirement orders, VA award, and DFAS statements control your actual benefits. Verify important decisions with your retirement services officer, DFAS, VA, or a qualified adviser.
Your inputs
Use accurate creditable service, points, pay base, ratings, eligibility age, and approved award amounts. High-36 means the average of the highest 36 months of basic pay, excluding allowances. DoD disability and VA ratings serve different purposes. The app cannot determine whether you meet all legal or medical eligibility requirements.
Scope
The app estimates standard active-duty and non-regular retirement, BRS, High-36, Final Pay, REDUX, approved early retirement, Chapter 61 permanent and temporary medical retirement, ordinary VA compensation, VA offsets, CRDP, entered CRSC awards, and selected deductions. Special cases, historical COLA adjustments, BRS lump-sum elections, TSP balances, taxes, recoupment, and other benefits may require separate calculations. Bundled VA rates are labeled with their effective date.
Use and availability
You may use the app for personal planning. Do not misrepresent estimates as official awards or use the app unlawfully. We may change or discontinue features. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided as available without a guarantee of accuracy or uninterrupted operation, and Momentum Apps is not liable for decisions based solely on estimates. These terms do not limit rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
